Which cookies and browser storage ArkNexus uses, what for and for how long.
1. In Short
ArkNexus uses only strictly necessary cookies and browser storage: for login, to protect against misuse and to remember your settings. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
2. Legal Basis
Storing and reading this information in cookies and in your browser’s local storage and session storage requires no consent, because it is strictly necessary to provide the service you request (Section 25(2) no. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act, TDDDG). We process the related data to perform the contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and on the basis of our legitimate interest in a secure service and in respecting your settings (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. ArkID and ORCID
If you log in with ArkID or ORCID, you are redirected to arkid.org or orcid.org, where their own cookie and privacy notices apply. ArkID is also operated by us; ORCID is a third-party service.
6. Managing and Deleting Cookies
You can open the cookie settings at any time through “Cookie Settings” in the footer. Because we use only strictly necessary cookies, no consent is required. You can delete cookies and browser storage in your browser at any time. If you delete the login cookie, you are logged out.
